Marek Ireneusz Marcisz PhD., DSc., Eng.

born in 1974 in Knurów. Alumnus of Faculty of Mining and Geology of Silesian University of Technology (1998) and from this year connected with this one. DSc. in 2004, PhD. (habilitation) in 2011.

Scientific interests: ore geology, geostatistics, application of computer techniques in mining geology, hard coal quality estimation during mining and processing, petrological assessment of hard coal processing.

Author of over 80 publications (with 5 monographs), 25 scientific-research works and 65 presented papers.

Winner of numerous prizes for scientific achievements, with Distiuction Deserved for Polish Geology and Distiuction Deserved for Mining of Republic of Poland.

Scientific secretary of Commission for Geological Sciences of Katowice Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Board member of Group of Mining Engineering Association at Silesian University of Technology.
Board member of Polish Associacion of Mining Geologists.
